This inexpensive yet versatile cutter is great for rough cutting of carpet off the roll. It takes slotted razor blades, utility blades, or Crain No. 300Y blades. When used with utility or Crain No. 300Y blades, the blade angle cuts from the carpet's backing to prevent shearing and wadding up of yarns. Steel springs on both sides of the cutter hold the carpet down as it is being cut. Large thumb knob allows simple, fast blade changes.

Crain 300 Loop Pile Cutter

Includes a pack of 10 replacement blades for the Crain No. 300 Loop Pile Cutter. These blades have two holes for a blade holding screw on early models of the No. 300 (black plastic body), but also work in later models of this cutter. When used in the No. 300, these blades cut the carpet from the backing, reducing the shearing of yarns and wadding up of carpet in the cutter. The two screw holes make these blades reversible for added life. These blades come in a plastic box with a hinged lid that snaps closed for storage. Blade dimensions: length: 2.31", width: .75", thickness: .025".

This cutter trims seam edges for better seams. The precision blade pockets on both left and right sides hold the slotted razor blades without screws. The 30 degrees blade angle cuts attached cushion carpets cleanly. The front guide is beveled to follow the carpet's rows. The soft grip handle provides comfort and control. Takes Crain Blades: slotted razor (Crain No. 308C).

Crain 301 Cushion Back Cutter

This cutter has a base for cutting over pad or other carpet that protects the material underneath. The blade carrier is adjustable in height so you can lock the beveled guide at just the right position to follow in the rows. The cutter has dual blade pockets on left and right sides, and a large thumb knob that tightens to lock in the blades.
